During the Euro Vape 2017 vape show, Chemnovatic received an Innovation Award for a range of PDO natural nicotine bases. Most people have no idea what are nautral bases and why are they so special.
Your typical nicotine bases consist of a mixture of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) and nicotine.
PG is a petrol derivative and is widely used in various products (cosmetics, medicine, food industry, etc.) because of its low cost and the fact that it is non-toxic.
In our natural nicotine bases, we have replaced PG with PDO (Propanediol, also known as Vegetable Propylene Glycol) – its natural equivalent which is manufactured from VG (Vegetable Glycerin). It is GMO-free, renewable, and sustainable, and reduces CO2 footprint by 70% compared to PG.
Propanediol has the same characteristics as Propylene Glycol and some say, that it is the nicotine base of the future – reduces steeping time, is less viscous, allergen-free, and easier on the throat. Some of our customers have already moved away from PG and are using PDO in their e-liquids instead.
In our range of natural nicotine bases, you will also find VPDO – a 50/50 mixture of PDO and VG, but we can manufacture nicotine bases in any ratio required by the customer. All our nicotine bases are 100% certified to confirm the highest quality and purity.
