Product description:

Vegetable glycerin 99.5% (Glycerol, 1,2,3-Propanetriol) is a colorless, thick liquid with strong hygroscopic properties, obtained from vegetable fats. This product, which is the simplest stable trihydric alcohol (triol), is completely soluble in water and ethanol, and due to its high purity and natural origin, it is widely used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries.

Due to its hydrophilic properties, glycerin acts as a humidifier, stabilizer and solvent, and also has preservative and antibacterial effects. The product is biodegradable, free from ingredients of animal origin, safe for the environment and widely used also in the chemical and technical industries and as a component of coolants and e-liquids.

Fun fact:

Glycerol occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables. In nature, it also acts as a natural antifreeze – some insects and organisms use it to lower the freezing point of body fluids, which increases their chances of survival in frosty climates.
